I Have Directv Will I Be Able To Watch All Of The Red Wing Games If I Dont Order NHL Center Ice?

also will i get the race to the stanley cup package to?
Is NHL Center Ice Worth It And Will It Guarantee Me Every Preseason, Basic Season, Playoff Game, And After Season Game Involving The Red Wings?

I am a Wings fan living out in the Bay Area in California. Ever since I moved out here, I've ordered Center Ice. (I too have DirecTV). While they can't guarantee that you'll be able to watch every Wings game, more than likely you will. Wings are a popular team, and in my experience, I honestly can't remember not being able to find a Wings game when they were playing. If I couldn't get it on Center Ice, it would be on VS. If it wasn't on the Center Ice channels or VS, then it was the Game of the Week on NBC.

You won't be able to get every preseason, but you should be able to get all the regular season games. ( Maybe 1 or 2 you wouldn't get, but like I said, I can't remember ever NOT being able to watch a Wings game when it was on). Playoffs are usually covered by VS in the opening rounds, but I've found 1st round games on Center Ice as well. I've never been able not to watch a playoff game since I had Center Ice. As far as "after season" game, I don't really get what you mean by that.

Center Ice is DEFINITELY worth it, if you are a die hard hockey fan in general, or a die hard home town team's fan who happens to live in an out of market area.

Things to watch out for:
If you rely on TIVO or DVR, sometimes the channel will change at the last minute, and you'll record a black screen, so be careful about that. Also, be careful about blackouts (The reason I say this, is that I live around San Jose, and when the Wings play the Sharks, some Center Ice channels will be blacked out. If you live in another market area, watch out when the Wings play the team that plays where you live)

The biggest reason to get Center Ice besides all the out of market games:

If DirecTV doesn't reach a deal with VS by Aug. 31st (Maybe they did already, but I didn't think so. Correct me if I'm wrong), then DirecTV will eliminate VS from its programming, so you will be SOL with a lot of hockey games this year.
