I found a "retro" iPod.?
I was pulling into my driveway, and saw this gigantic grande sized iPod near my mailbox. So I went to go pick it up, and on the back, I can see it has 20GB. This thing weighs like a brick. No headphones came with it, (even if they did, I wouldn't use them), just the iPod itself. What do I need to buy to get this thing running?
If this ipod is the first or second generation, you should use them. The first and second generation ipod had the best sound quality out of all ipods ever made. This is because they use large capacitors on the circuit board. From then on the capacitors were made very small and cheaply, thus reducing sound quality. Install itunes 7 and get a firewire cable from ebay or something. Once plugged in itunes will automatically recognize it and you can restore the ipod for use with windows. If you computer doesn't have fire wire ports you can get them for around $10 on ebay if you look. (That is what i did) ( You might also want to get a firewire ipod charger from ebay too.)
