Red Wing: Steel Toe Waterproof Non-Slip Work Boots 3507 ARe these a good pair of shoes to buy for flat feet?
I have flat feet and I NEED something to give me proper support and that can hold up over time. They are a bit expensive so I need them to last a long time. Is this the right pair for me. Oh yeah and I Like black shoes.
I wouldn't buy steel-toed boots unless my job specifically required them, as they are generally perceived by most people (me included) to be uncomfortable. I bought 4 pair of Red Wings at least 10 years ago and wore two pair almost exclusively under very rough conditions (construction sites) for about eight years - both pair are still good boots/shoes(5") although they could use re-soling (they're still not worn all the way down). They also are water proof although not advertised as such. As far as the flat feet go (I have flat feet), if the insoles that come with the shoes are not adequate (mine were) then you can buy insoles separately as needed.
